Hi, my name is Marcus Jonesi, and I’m a financial operations consultant. I’ve also been a simple consultant for just over 30 days and wanted to share something that I was able to do after just two weeks with skills that I picked up from Simple Academy. I needed to understand the financial situation of a prospective client who was on a different type of accounting than for-profit companies. They were a governmental entity. And what I used that I picked up from Simple Academy was loading financial statements and a couple of accounting pronouncements into ChatGPT. And with the proper prompts, I was able to get a complete picture of the financial condition and the annual operating revenues of the client, as well as the identification of nine areas in accounting that I’d have to research to be able to operate as an interim CFO for this governmental interview. It took me 20 minutes, 20 seconds to be fabulous. It took me 20 minutes, and I think it would have taken somewhere between four and six hours for me to read through the financial statements and then do all the research on the nine different areas where the accounting standards are different.

So worst case In best case, that’s a 12X time improvement. In best case, I guess somewhere between 16 and 20 times time improvement. And that’s significant to be able to do something in under 30 minutes that would have taken 4 to 6 hours. So it’s safe to say that I’m using AI every day in my engagements and recognizing gains of anywhere between 4X and 20X. It’s amazing what these tools are capable of. And I think Simple Academy does a fantastic job of training and how to use them.
